Well i just loaded it up and the menu runs i select a game and it starts loading then when it finsihes loading it into ram the screen goes @#$%^& and stays like that.

doesnt reboot or anything. but my gp32 does smell like something was burning now :\ dont know if its the emu but it didnt smell b4 :(

It looks like it's ok tho :)

so my gp did 200mhz but as it was stated the ram aint fast enough thats why the emu didnt load.

WOW, I can't beieve you tried it. It would be great if someone could write a guide in english saying how to do the RAM upgrade, as it looks like it is the RAM that dictates how much you can overclock by, rather than the CPU

Here is the Google translation of his post:

I finish making the first tests of an emulator to 200Mhz. is a version modified by mortimor of the Snes9x. One assumes that single it would have to work in my console, since the official ram prevents to overclockear it over 166 and with my extension of ram it would have to be able to raise it much more (supposedly).

In order to begin, the emulator works, appears to me the window of selection of game, although through the screen it passes a "strip" like of refreshment, of left to right, with which it seems that the batteries are "undergoing" a little.

When executing the games, some are sent, but they remain "fried immediately", with others jumps the bios monitor. It gives the sensation of which the problem is of the batteries, that do not have sufficient energy to maintain the consumption of micro. I have a little spent, so I will prove to buy new ones shortly and I will say to you if I have been able to make work it

I don't know exactly but I think the Vcore of the ARM-CPU is automatically adjusted when setting a higher clockspeed. That could be a reason why my pal can't overclock his FLU more than 133 Mhz when the light is switched on. When the light is turned off he can run it at any speed.
Therefore you will have to upgrade the RAMs and use a power-adapter in the long run. Not a good powerup ...

Couldnt resist.

200MHZ is insane!!! tho i actually think my gp32 could handle that, it goes to 187MHZ with no probs.

If that is the case then surely all GP32s should be able to run at 150Mhz with no problems. I think there are two things which dictate how fast your GP32 will run, firstly would be the type/quality of the RAM that is installed and secondly, the type of power supply, as higher Mhz obviously require more current

uhh, i missed something... snes emu @ 187MHz
hui... then i just ask, my gp32 cant go over 150, is it possible to replace the ram with something which goes higher.... the one which can clock over 150 can tell us the version of their ram and one who cant can tell us too. And then just buy the rigt ram and make your gp32 overcklockable :D

really want to play at 187 mhz ;D ok the battieres will work 1 hour :D but its still awesome....

bye

well, if you want to replace the ram it won't be easy. the ram chip has 40+ pins and is a tiny little thing...

yep, but a guy from spain did it :D (replaced it with a 32mb chip) and it worked, but still not in emus because of the firmware...
so somebody who is good at soldering, i would pay good for it, if it works :)

no this would be really great if you could provide it crazeeplaya. Your site is really good these days and has been added to my favourites.... (said in hopeful sucking up voice). My Gp32 has never had a problem with overclocking and i remain hopeful about more than 166mhz.....
