I Just Recently Acquired The Young Ones 1 & 2

Ah thanks for doing my homework for me ;)

Shame, it was hilarious ...

"Dr. Martin boots! Dr. Martin boots!!"

There's only 2 seasons of the young ones, but there's also Filthy Rich and Catflap (not as good as the young ones), Bottom (better than the young ones IMO), and the film Guest House Paradiso (Bottom in a different setting).

I wish I still had the young ones book. It was superb. Ricks guide to changing song titles to include the word fart.

"Come on baby light my fart" and "It's my party and I'll fart if I want to" are two that spring to mind.

The motorcycle scene in Guest House Paradiso is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Vivian's "How to be a Complete Bastard" was very funny too. Especially the bit about driving to the hospital pissed as a fart because your wife is about to give birth...

So Telcolou - who is your favourite character? When I watched it 'live' I was a student of a similar age and none of my mates or myself really 'got' Mike', but when I look back now, I find his character easily the funiest...

Quick, Neil - Eat the Telly!

Hey telco, I believe there were some christmas specials maybe that may not be on the DVD.

I know the definite ending of The Young Ones was the bit in the bus/coach (can't remember), I won't go into too much detail in case you haven't seen it.

Cool, thanks for the replies ... I'll scour around ...

And I think (P)Rick is my favorite character ... he's so manic

The Young Ones rules so much more than you. Pity I only have a few taped episodes on vhs :(

Now you're talking about "The Comic Strip Presents..." which they were all involved in. My favourites are "Mr Jolly Lives Next Door" and "A Fist Full of Travellers Cheques" - pure genius. If you like the young ones, chances are you'll like all these too...
