someone else mentioned the rattley battery case in a different forum, I only subconciously noticed it before but after reading about it I started getting kind of irritated by it (let's face it folks, our beloved little GP32 has definitely got a much lower build quality than the competition..!)

anyway I had a box for a motherboard lying around, I took a scissors and cut a little rectangle-shape of the packaging foam core about 3/4 the size of the GP32 battery case cover. The foamcore (or whatever you call it) was pretty thin ot begin with, but --just-- snugly squeezed into the battery compartment on top of the batteries. Sure, it's a lil' bit ghetto, and you have to be a little more careful when opening the thing (it feels as if it's a bit tense and the tab might snap if you are too rough with it) but for my purposes it fixes the rattle issue and makes the system feel much less 'chintzy' -- adopt if you like, ignore otherwise.

sorry, mine doesnt rattle, it fits fine...and i cant fix something that isnt broken.
anyone else with this loose battery back?

My GP32 battery cover isn't loose, no rattling here.

But my arctic GBA has a slightly loose, rattling cover. ;)

Hey, my case rattles a lot!!. It is so annoying. It makes the whole unit feel like crap, seriously. Maybe I will try some foam. Thanks

Many remote controls come equiped with a little bit of foam in the battery compartment. maybe you could add some of that like somebody sugested.

My rattles, but no more than the one on the the old Gameboy, and the build quality on that was top notch. I don't think it's a fault as such, it's just the way these things are made. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Mine was loose, but I've no idea if it rattled or not on account of it's broken. The end snapped off, and atm its fixed (kinda) with sellotape and blu-tack.

Ah, bodge jobs... how they rock :)

(Also done my joystick to make it slightly more responsive - works really well as a 15 minute no-soldering mod :) )

Grrrr, mine didn't rattle before, but now everytime that I pick it up it makes a horrible noise, just because I looked at this discussion

My battery covers doesn`t rattle.

That maybe the fact that i don`t stand there like an idiot shaking it. :D

I hold it still and just play games etc on it.
