How to boot from a USB stick?

Anyone knows how to boot the pandora from an ext2 in a usb stick?

its not possible at the moment because of the way the pandora boots, I asked this before, maybe in the future I hope.

Can I archieve this by using an SD card too that points to the usb by editing autoboot.txt and fstab?

May be possible.


Like for nfs root, at some point of the boot process, the / can be switched from the initrd to another partition.


For example :

# Switch to real root partition:

  echo 0x0100 > /proc/sys/kernel/real-root-dev

  mount -o ro,nolock -t $ROOTFS $ROOTDEV /mnt

---

  umount /proc

  umount /sys

  echo "${INITRD}:  exiting"

  exec switch_root /mnt /sbin/init $RUNLEVEL

And as usb is compiled inside the OP kernel, it's a big step in :^).
