Hi, just got my pandora 2 days ago and am very pleased with it.

I have a usb to midi cable and would like to use it with the pandora. Is there any special drivers or procedures i need to do to get it working correctly.

I would really like to ideally get this going with Cubase running under the Hatari emulator.

Thanks in advance,

In terms of the Pandora OS, a standard USB-MIDI cable should 'just work' when you plug it in. Be aware that you may need to go through a USB hub (see USB FAQ in my sig).

I'm straining my brain and I can't quite remember what needs to be done within Hatari. It's either (i) nothing, or (ii) a simple adjustment of an option in the Hatari config menu.

[edit] Aha! Found an old PM in which Andymanone got me up and running. According to year-ago-me, I needed to enable MIDI emulation in the Hatari options. Here's Andy's advice following on from that:

First of all check out, if your Pandora recognize your MIDI Interface (dmesg)

After you can see it, start HATARI and go to the settings menu .

So lets have a look at my setup:

System:

CPU 68000 / STE /Clock 8MHz /DSP off /Slower...=yes, Blitter = yes, Real time.. =yes, Patch timer... =yes

Tos 2.06 ger / 4MB Memory

Enable MIDI emulation:

Read MIDI input from file:

/dev/snd/midiC0D0

Write MIDI output file:

/dev/snd/midiC0D0

Note: after set this config, save it and Reset machine

After Reboot it will access your MIDI interface
