I'm obviously not trying to be a salesman here, just spreading the gospel (as there's tons of Mame-heads around here, of course). I've got one of these and it's the next best thing to owning a cabinet! It feels just like a real arcade panel, and you use it on your PC (obviously). It's dropped to $100 and is definitely worth the price if you're into this stuff.

Sigh, if only they had a version w/ a spinner for Arkanoid + Tempest..

I'm going full on and bulding an arcade cabinet, and making my own controls. I need a 4 player setup.

Those considering a HotRod, may first like to do research on the X-Arcade, a board Shane from Retrogaming Radio personally endorses. The X-Arcade is comparable in structure, but the closer positioning of the joysticks on the dual unit makes it more suitable for some games (Robotron, I think?).

The X-Arcade dual unit runs at $150, but hopefully HotRod's price drop will spark some competition.
