Just reminding people that this irc channel is free for everybody to use, you don't have to be a developer or "well-known" in the scene to use it. If you have any questions you need a quick answer or want to discuss gp32 related news etc (doesn't always have to be gp32 related) then join the channel.

I'm just bringing this up because #gp32 is a great resource thats seems to be going to waste.

Simple instructions to get in the channel

o Download mIRC from here.
o Install it and enter your details in the connect box that pops up.
o Change the server to efnet, choose one that is closest to your location for example mine would be EFNET: EU, UK, London.
o Click connect to the server.
o In the prompt that comes up type #gp32 and press enter.

Et voila, you are now ready to chat.

It'd be cool to see this channel advertised somewhere on the main page of gp32x.de.
I only found out about it by reading someones sig on the forums

Yeah, but now it's silent. People have to keep mIRC running for ages until a conversation starts. Channels should have enough conversation in them to be accessible any time, not after idling for a few hours. Most people seem to have gone to #gp32dev and used it as a non-dev social channel.

Yeah, it's like everybody just stays on there waiting for a beta or something. I always go on there every now and then to spark a GP32-Related conversation but I never get anywhere because nobody replies! Some users also tend to discuss non-GP32 related topics in there to "liven it up..."

I've gone on lately (I'm mammothMA). I try to spark conversation, but I'm mostly just asking questions and marveling the GP32. I can't wait till my BLU comes...

And, by the way, does anyone know the site with the osnes9x compatibility list and button configurations? I know I've seen it before...

If people were waiting for betas they'd go to gp32dev to not talk. I think most people just stay to help noobs with their questions or add to the convo if anyones chatting.
