I gave it a quick go last night. I only gave it a go with a couple of games but from what Ive seen its very nice. Manic miner works great !.
Its a lot easier to use. You get a nice front menu / a file selector to pick your game. You get the option to play original size or fullscreen and volume control
Just tried chuckie egg. I still need to play around a bit. I cant seem to redefine the keys to use the joystick to control the player. Probably just me being dense.
All in all... It seems like we have another great emulator
it's a very nice emulator, I played dr destructo and zub fine.
it has nice features like on screen battery and screen scalling... only thing that's missing is control bias like the Atari-ST emu. The onscreen keyboard works well and is easy to use too.
This seems a lot better than fuse I could never get fuse to work. I've tried hunchback, hypersports, renegade, and robocop all seem to work 100% with no problems. The only tiny problem I've found is the sound isn't 100% on the 128k games but thats no biggy. One of the best spectrum emulators I've used.
Has anybody tried to play Alien8, I get to selection screen and what ever I select it reboot the speccy. Is this because of my rom or has anybody else seem this problem. I've tried other Ultimate games (Knightlore) and it works ok, Just a little to fast.
The graphics in Commando smear all over the screen as it scrolls.
I found compatability was not so great, but my games are all zipped tzx files so I shall try again with Z80 images. The emulation is a little fast and I find the interface a bit awkward. I would love to see a Spectrum emu on the GP2x that was as user friendly as GBAdvance on the GBA.
Still, this is a very welcome addition to the GP2x and I look forward to future releases.
I have sound problems on 128k games and +3 disk images, I cant redefine the keys either, left/right work fine but not up/down. also I couldnt get the joystick to work as a Kempston either.
is there a way to define keys to buttons? Only i'd like to define my 'up' in some games to a button instead of a joystick direction to solve the diagonal jumping issue
