Gp2x Terminal Emulator Released

I'm a newbie at the terminal, and vi. I had to download a vi clone for Windows, and learn how to use that before I could get it to work for me on the GP2X. It's awkward, but it does work. :D

STERM ROCKS!

You "type" the letter l to move left. Don't remember if r was right, or just replace single character. Like I said, awkward. But if you find a full list of commands, you can get it to work on the GP2X.

I use vi every day, I think it's a great editor for working with code or any other sort of text. Most editors have moved away from being 'modal' like vi over the last 20 years so maybe that's why it seems awkward.

I could never get used to vi... I always have to use pico instead. Nice to see that we have a fully usable linux on the go now. What would linux be without shell access ^^

But I can't move the curser left and right, even in insert mode. It makes no sense to me.
If you hold down select you can move left/right using the stick. It seems buggy (moves character cursor too) but it works.

Great application for hacking on the run, it also was very useful before I got gadget serial working :D

Hello,

I tried to compile sterm on windows but I got a linker error that the compiler couldn't find forkpty. Where is that function? Which library should I add to compile sterm?

Thanks
