I am looking for recommendations for the goriest movies around. Feel free to include sub genres such as melt movies (Street Thrash & Body Melt oh yes!!)

My personal favourites are the Guinea Pig series, Naked Blood, Braindead, etc.

The likes of SAW are like Tellitubbies to me (or however the f*ck they are spelled).

Please post the most extreme films you have seen for gore. Slaughtered Vomit Dolls not included here ;)

If you know of any excellent B-Move Troma style movies also post (apart from Toxic Avenger and Maniac Nurses on Ectasy) .

Hills Have Eyes remake was pretty gory. A favorite B rate movie of mine is Basket Case. Not really that gory but certainly craptastic.

Also Texas Chainsaw remake was really gory too. Lots of chainsaw action on people :D

God. Watch porn instead, you psychotic tots. Touching girls (even cyber girls) is better than killing people. Murder is for wackos.

Don't do it. I laughed my ass off when I watched it. It is so horribly overdone it is more funny than anything else. Especially as you state you are fan of the Guinea Pig Series you already know the top of the genre. You might want to check out "Men behind the Sun" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093170/) or Ebola Syndrom which gotta be one of the most fucked up premisses for a movie I've ever watched (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116163/).

Thanks Nagelfar (& others for suggestions).

Had not heard of Men Behind the Sun or Ebola Syndrome before - will be checking them out!

Samba Pa Ti I love the Evil Dead movies too. Hail to the King baby!

I've heard Battle Royale is supposed to be gory. I haven't seen it myself but I have that info on good authority from a college friend who has watched both of them.

Battle Royale isn't gory at all. The comic book is pretty extreme for it's genre, but the movie is pretty light.

I second Ichi the Killer. Old Boy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance are also kinda of cool, I doubt anything can top the Guinea Pig series though. :p

The 2nd 1 is "slightly" more gory (which is still very light) but it does have that certian B-movie satirical feel to it.

Takashi Miike movies in general are good for gore and insane shit. I think there is seriously something wrong with that guy.
Ah yes, that name rings a bell. I believe he's the man behind Gozu, which I never saw but wanted to rent. Actually, I saq the coming attractions to that when I saw Harold and Kumar at an all asian theater in NYC

sataniC Virus,
Watch a movie called "Nekromantik"
It disturbed me beyond belief.

How about "inconvenient truth" ? That is a Gore movie :p

Bad Taste
Ha ha Bad Taste was one excellent movie - you should check out the making of if you can. Jackson spent 3 years with his friends making this and using his ma's cooker and dental 'moulding goo' to create the alien masks! Imagine the X-Files if all aliens had blond hair and denim shirts? :D

DaveC, em thanks! I saw that one coming though ...!

Some good suggestions here folks, anymore just post here. It takes a lot to freak me out at films, well apart from E.T. when that willy neck freak throws the ball out of the shed. Saw that in the cinema at the time and I have never been freaked by a movie since :p
