Run it for the first time, it will create the path "pandora/appdata/goldendict/portable/content", put your dictionaries on this directory.

Free dictionary downloads are available at the GoldenDict homepage.

woah, never even thought of that, but really useful!!! I'd try it immediately, but my pandora, uhm, has issues (does nothing a.t.m...)

That got me thinking, are there any good open source, offline, translator programs available? Loads of foreign people at my work, but no internet connection possible/allowed (i'd get it to work but they probably won't like it, blocked for a reason)
And this is not a port request btw, i could try myself if noone else attempts it (but be my guest if you want, got a long todo list ; )

Thanks and Cheers!

I've noticed that this automatically starts with a link to English Wikipedia, which is fantastic, but of course it requires an internet connection.

Is it possible to index one of the offline versions of Wikipedia for use in GoldenDict?

Most of the dictionaries are offline, for Wikipedia I only found online versions.

Many thanks for the port, what a superb program.

It really makes a paper dictionary redundant.

Now all I want is a copy of the full OED. Bet the downloadable version can be had for £3500.
