For those who want to play some GOG games on Pandora, but need only some datafiles, there's no need to install the game on windows first, you can actually just unpack the "setup_game_name.exe" to get the files you need.

http://innounp.sourceforge.net/

The program is command-line driven, but there's even a graphic interface for Windows to make things simple, you can find it in the GUI directory of the download section

BUT WARNING, even if the interface works well, it comes with an old version of the program !!

So you have to put the NEWER "innounp.exe" in the installation directory of the GUI.

I even found an extractor for Linux

http://constexpr.org/innoextract/

I'm trying to compile it for the Pandora but there are too much errors... :(
"sudo apt-get install innoextract" installed it, but how can I extract the installers with it? I cannot find the program on my system. (Mint).

It seems to have compatibility issues with some Gog-packages anyway as stated on their site.

"Gogonlinux" won't start at all.

I didn't use them for a while, maybe some packaging method was changed somehow, I have to try a bit again with this...

As a side note there is also a downloader for linux that is actively developed, it is called LGOGDownloader, the developer is in the GOG forum http://www.gog.com/forum/general/lgogdownloader_gogdownloader_for_linux/page1

It can be usefull paired with a working extractor.

EDIT: by the way, innoextract works like this "$ innoextract <file>"

"innoextract installer.exe" in command line. Replace "installer.exe" with the real name of the installer file.

Thanks!

I just noticed, that you can open the terminal with the inserted path of the directory which you have currently opened in Mint too by searching for a way to do that.

Always learning.

At other n00bs: The files get extracted to the directory with the file and in "app" and "tmp" in your home directory,

but "tmp" only contains the usual ads for other games at GoG.com and can be deleted.

All the Gog installer were made with innosetup?
All that I know of and I got a lot.

The last 5 times I booted up my old WinXP was for those suckers (extracting "Blake Stone: Planet Strike" for my Pandora f.e.),

now I do not even have to do that anymore. :)
