Yeah, like Pickle said, you need the original data files first for each respective game in order to run them under GemRB.  I happen to own all of the original CD's but I can also verify that the .gog versions work as well.  So, if you don't have the CDs, then head on over to gog.com and download them - they're relatively inexpensive and they often times have a sale going on.  I installed the game(s) first on my PC then just copied all of the folders/data to my Pandora's SD card and I was off and running.  If you haven't already checked this out, I would suggest you do so---> http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/10136-gemrb-how-to-install-bg-and-co-my-guide/?hl=bafelton It's a great guide that BAFelton put together.  Helped me a LOT.  Good luck and happy RPG'ing.   :)

Indeed, GoG version works, I got them cheap during a sale (Baldur's, Icewind, Planescape and a few other D&D based games that don't run with gemrb). I finally own a legal copy of those games

Since I'm on a mac, I used Wine (Winebottler to be exact) to run the installer, then copied the files. I had to change some lines in a GemRB text file to get planescape to work… the accurate information must be in the GemRB topic.

Still have to run the mods to get widescreen and better fonts, but can't be assed right now… I'm playing freespace 2  :D

The original CDs might all total that , but it's not indicative of what storage space it will actually take up on your SD card.  For instance, I used the GOG version of Baldurs Gate 1 which included the TOSC expansion pack, and the entirety of the pandora/appdata/gemrb folder was only 2.75GB.

I suspect the CDs might also contain a lot of raw audio tracks while the GoG version may have them compressed to MP3s or something.

Thou hast  dropped and dragged me into the smelly bowels of file franticness. Alas I cometh up empty handed and dry as a thirsty foxhound after the hunt.

I hereby relinquish thy sub par ability to find such a monstrosity of a file.... whilst escaping me has left me bewildered and parched for reason.

Hmm i updated gemrb, installed balders gate (gog) version on the pc, ran the widescreen mod then copied the contents to the pandora..

Still not widescreen. Is there anything else i need to do?

Well, first can you verify that you've actually gone into the actual game play?  The menu screens are still the same "cropped" screens, but when you're playing the game itself ON A MAP it should be full screen if you applied the mods correctly.  When you launch games/Adventure and RPG/GemRB 0.8.0, make sure that you select the "BG1w" option.  If none of this helps, then perhaps you need to try an older version of GemRB, apply the mods, then just update the .pnd itself.  That's basically what I did.  I followed Pickle's suggestion and it's working fine for me so far.  Foft did a great job on this - seems more stable to me.

planescape torment works good, thats all i use it for so i dont know about how well anything else runs

Never played any of these... Gonna give it a go, downloading bg2 right now, heard the story isn't that linear so and the interface is better on bg2 so that's where I'm starting.

I can recommend Planescape Torment ANDROID, especially if you're into D&D at all

If I can get into bg2 I'll for sure be picking up the rest from gog. Never played d&d though. Only SNES/PS1 jrpgs mainly and diablo series.
