Hmmm

I have aquired a GBA and have now dismantled it with the hope of usind the dpad on my GP....

Now...i have no idea how to start!!!

I have read a few guides and can understand the logic, however, the bit i am struggling with is where to solder the wires onto the PCB that is in the GBA.

Is there a fool proof guide out there...and i do mean FOOL proof!!

I think i do yes!

I definately want a dpad on it and assumed that the GBA one would be ideal...

Would you suggest otherwise?

check the manual of dave-c's dpad mod if you have trouble with the correct wiring of the directions, it was useful for me.

also using a gba D-pad is a good choice, I used a gba sp for my mod and works quite well, tough the gba one is bigger.

Indeed, you need a small D-pad mobo and the mobo board not too thick. Too big and you make yourself lots of problems getting it to fit and too thick and you have problems getting the case shut and also catching on the case.

A nice small one can be found from a Game & Watch, especially the keychain ones.
