Has anyone tried to install a GBA Afterburner kit to a GP32? Could this possibly be the way to light the GP32. Answers on a postcard to the usual address please!!!! ;)

No, I'm afraid it wouldn't work because the GP32's screen is that much bigger than the GBA's. I think your only option is an FLU or wait and hope that the rumours do it yourself FLU kits ever see the light of day.

sigh... the way the after burner works is somewhat complicated, bit, it is a piece of glass with ridges on the top of it that reflect light coming in on the sides down onto the lcd screen. a company that makes a front light that would be compatible with gp32 is mindebea, i contacted them a couple months ago but they would sell or give me a smal quantity <_< they basically said piss off. but i know that this front light would work and it wouldn't be hard to install, if i could get one i could install it.

ye, ive been looking around for companies too, i emailed hahotech a while back but they didnt reply and i havent had much luck otherwise

Nope!

:p

The ribbed light-relecting layer is too small to cover the GP32s screen.#

Updated the FAQ!
Ehh someone could sacrafice *well, if it doesn't get damaged* to see what parts are needed, all then is just recreation of thoes parts and production

Quick way *and expensive* of doing GP32 FLU Kits
*well it's about $50-$60 mroe a flu, so selling the scrapped/anti-flu GP32 on ebay for around starting of $75 would pay off the differnce, plus the kits prolly would go for about... $25-$35, breaking even at... 4-6 kits sold*6 kits for $25, 4.2 kits for $35**

i had my mom call minebea, but she made the mistake of asking to buy 1 instead of asking for a sample...i might call again and have her ask for a sample of some type. my uncle works for Hewlet packard, maybe he could hook me up...;-)
