Freefall from the edge of space.

I missed it.

I can just imagine NASA after the cuts (even though this isn't nasa)

"Lets build a next generation space shuttle for daring missions on the edge of space!"

<sees funding documents>

"Lets build a big helium balloon for daring missions on the edge of space!"

Still an pretty impressive thing to do though. You wouldn't catch me jumping down more than 1m or so, let alone 40000 of them!

For a bathroom break, he had a special absorbant nappy.... but i watched this live whilst at work, surprised the parachutes held up under the size of his balls!

I was hoping that he didn't drift off a little bit ... which might have resulted in missing the planet entirely from that crazy height.

Well impressive, man is fearless and must have been a serious thrill looking out from that capsule.

Great landing too, just a couple of steps like he was stepping off a bus :)

Eeeeh....

To put it into perspective, take a standard classroom globe, something about 40cm across or so. Measure one millimeter from the surface of that globe. That's how far away he was.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek :) but tbh I didn't realise that perspective example, well put. It did seem further but now with your scaled example it seems easy. I jest!

still agreed this man has big balls, like space-hoppers, lucky he didn't land on them and bounce back up to where he jumped from.
