Format Sd On Mac Osx

I just got a 2gig card.
I need to format it .. i guess FAT 32 for the GP2x?

what do I do to format it on my Mac OSx 1.37?

Disk Utility...erase and format Mac Extended....? Unix???

not really sure what to do here...sorry for being such a nube on this one

(I tried to format it in my canon powershot .. but I gopt memory problems)

I found that "Disk Utility" under "Applications" works just fine.
Slide your SD card into a card reader. It should pop up on the Desktop.
Startup "Disk Utility".
Highlight your disk and select erase. Make sure you select "DOS format". That should make it FAT-32.
Once it's done, you can "right click" on the icon on the Desktop, and select "Info" to verify the format. It should say "FAT32".

If that doesn't help, I'll check once I get home - don't have my Mac here.

That'll format the card in FAT16, the default for memory cards.

FAT16 is fine if you just want to run software, but if you need to update the firmware than it needs to be FAT32.

Use the easy method if you don't want to update the firmware.
