Just wondering if anyone knows if the Pandy will support this out the box, I have an n900 which has this functionality built in. Before anyone says doh, don't be silly, the n900 uses its Bluetooth hardware to provide this; so is it with in the realms of possibility that the Pandy can do this too?

No, i think not out of the box...instead you can try to make it yourself (I mean modding the pandora)
The most big problem is to write the software 4 ur hardware( I tried sooo damn hard to write a radio on the Dingux, but it blows my mind up...
Anyway, this will be very hard to do, but if you belive you can do it - You can do it)

The N900 uses a combined Bluetooth & FM reciver chip.(BCM2048) The FM transmitter (SI4713) is not a part of the bluetooth device.
B!

External FM transmitters that run from the headphone jack are common. Not the same as an internal one, of course.

This looks quite small http://usb.brando.com/usb-radio_p00136c035d015.html only mentions Windows compatibility though

It's a receiver rather than transmitter though...

A USB powered transmitter that gets it's audio feed from the line out would be ideal.

Try this then

I'll recommend this one if you're planning on using it while driving: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18532

Best audio quality I've heard, compared to a LOT of other ones I've heard. A few friends have bought it to replace theirs after listening to it. About as good as the signal from an actual radio station, although compared to those, it's a bit quiet. However, transmitting power is good enough that you can listen to it in another car as long as you don't get too far away. Not magic though, it's still FM radio.

I have used those exact ones for Ipod, It's better than the griffin one. but only good for use in the same room as your receiver

For car usage I use one of these. Of course, you need a tape player to use it, but supposedly it's better in terms of sound quality than the FM transmitters.
