Hi, I just got my GP32 with FLU last Thursday.

Something is very very wrong with the FLU now. When I try to activate it, the screen starts getting white flashes (ie the actual pixels are changing, not just the light flashing), and if I persists it usually crashes (to Spiv's BIOS monitor with an exception) And yes, I have tried multiple sets of fresh batteries. I am running Spiv's multifirmware.

Here is the exception given:

Code:
Exception: External on Translation

This doesn't strike me as a hardware problem with the light itself, it seems more like some sort of weird firmware issue or bad power connection.

Do you guys know what could be causing this? Should I try reverting to the original firmware? Is there anything I can check on the unit? And if I do need to return it for repairs, what would be my best option? (I purchased it from GBAX.com)

unlikely to be anything other than a hardware problem. I would think beffore reflashing, as if it crashes during the process, you're then totally buggered. It may be an idea to send it back to where you got it...!
