had to post here..sorry, close if you must.

Did the woman have to participate...no
Is the radio station liable and just plain retarded for doing this contest..absolutely
Would this have happened if Nintendo didn't name it's console something absolutely rediculous? Probably not.

I'm sorry, I hope the radio station gets sued for everything they're worth, but Nintendo should be held at least a little responsible, i'm suprised it took this long for someone to do a "Wee for a Wii" contest.

Just another reason for me to dislike Nintendo i guess...360 ftw.

Getting shot for a ps3 is crappy too and Sony should be blamed somewhat for such a crappy launch.

Firstly, she signed a waiver, though I don't think a piece of paper with a dead person's signature on it can remove the responsibility from the employees.

Secondly, you're blaming someone's death on the fact that Nintendo named their console "Wii"? Have you never heard of the term "logical fallacy"? ;)

It just reaffirms my belief that we're dying off as a species ...

Yeah, Nintendo is to blame for everything people do with their consoles.

Oh, by the way, wasn´t someone shot for a PS3? That´s all SONY´s fault, right?

Also this are very old news. i read about it like a week ago.

Oh, and by the way, they should rather have made a distance-peeing contest, that sure is a fun thing to do in a Radio show

Seconded. Blaming the name of a console. I can see you you spilling coffee in a mcdonalds and then sueing them for making the coffee too hot.

But yeah, this is old news.

How the fuck is Angel not banned yet?

Every couple of weeks, he comes on to make some ridiculous thread about how Nintendo are crap and evil. This week is him effectively accusing them of manslaughter.

I really don't mind debates about which console is better, and why (god knows I have entered enough of them), but constant baiting of Nintendo fans is pretty juvenile from someone so old.

And every single one of his posts backed up with a fecking gamespot link.

I can't believe they did this because just last year a kid was trying to get into a fraternity at a college here in California and he dies because he consumed too much water.

Its not like the kid died across the globe from where the radio station is either which could explain the radio stations ignorance, Chico is only 90 miles from Sacramento.

even i remember the frat guy that drank too much water and i do live accross the globe.

at least obesity will no longer be linked with he wii

"Wii Gamer Loses Weight
Video games are often cited as a cause of obesity in children. Yet, Nintendo may be the exception to the rule. Mickey DeLorenzo, a 25 year-old gamer, decided to put the console to the test. He played Wii Sports for thirty minutes every day for six weeks. He ate and drank as normal during the trial period. His conclusion? DeLorenzo lost nine pounds during the six weeks. His Body Mass Index dropped from 25.2 to 24.0, according to a fitness specialist. Finally! Good news about video games for the media to pick up."

I know thats old news but just thought id put it anyway.

Plus the fact that a nurse called the DJs and told them on the air how dangerous the stunt was. <_<
