Fenixonfire

Yes! Please but FB2 & FPG & FNT Edit on there! :)

And maybe links to gp32 and gp2x fenix games?

More code samples, snippets or sources would be nice. There are a lot around the net, but most I have found are commented in spanish, which I don't understand. :(

Also, I can comment the source to my old "Istappen" game if you want to have it on your page. Its small, simple and should be good to learn from. PM me if you need it.

i would like to know how to handle collisions in mode7...

Maybe a pack that includes all the software and a few tutorials to get started? What do you all think? Though im sure i saw something like this released a while ago.

That could be useful. There is such a pack somewhere, but it used an old version of the compiler and all documentation where in spanish.

i've tried the collision() command once with your(?) car-test example, which i found in one thread here and didn't work.
I'll post the source in a separate thread once i find time to.

@topic:
a step by step tutorial for hardness maps would be cool and VERY useful.
I've tried this one: http://crystal.sphosting.com/main/tutorials/platform.htm
once and never came too far with it cause i didnt know how to check the number for your 8bit color :(

Just use 0, as that is black in an adaptive palette. If you want more than 1, I'm not entirely sure.

How about a quick Question and Answer box that people ask questions in (about actual code) and people can see this box on the homepage and answer the question if they know.

Have you considered adding links to Fenix for Dreamcast resources? I know they are VERY few and far between, but I have a page up dealing strictly with writing Fenix apps for the Dreamcast, and will be adding content on a very regular basis. Right now, the page has technical information, a page that shows how to set up a DC fenix dev environment and burn CDs, and links. I'll be doing a ton of experimenting with various fenix functions and testing the limits of DC fenix and adding the info to the page. I don't have much time to write a game for the DC, but I hope that my info will help kickstart the now-stagnant DC Fenix "scene" (if there is such a thing).

The page can be found at http://atari.vg-network.com/dcfenix.html. I hope you'll consider adding it to your links page, and any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Brian

Anyone think it would be useful?

Yes, that sounds amazingly useful. Did this happen anytime since the end of July? I can't see any evidence of it... but maybe it's somewhere else I didn't look. :)

Also, in the Start Here section, there's this:

fenixonfire.gif

...but there doesn't seem to be any link to click on or anything? Is there something painfully n00bishly obvious I'm missing?

In short, what do I need? I was expecting some mention of FPG Edit or the like... or perhaps a link to the 'pack' I asked about in the previous post (or at least what would have been the previous post if not for post merging). :)

Apart from that, it's a great site. Nice to see stuff in English. :D
