I'm a mod & part of the uniform for those that aren't familiar is the Harrington Jacket.

The classic is the Baracuta G9 although I favor the slim fit/vintage variation.. every so often I'm convinced I 'need' a new one, suffice to say I've accumulated quite a few over the years (& they ain't cheap!)

I prefer durable gaarments, usually with no brand markings, often with no matkings of any sort.  I usually stick with black, although grey and earth tones work well in case I need to be outside in the wilderness, especially where the garments may get dirty (these are excuses, I just like some greens, browns, and tans).  I have been considering wearing more reds.  Most pants I wear are black, and always long (I don't wear shorts unless required for something I am doing).  I may wear t-shirts, however I will always wear something with long sleeves.  I nearly always wear some sort of hat when outside.

If it isn't obvious, I wear all this to avoid sun expsoure.  I used to get severe sunburn frequently when I was a child, and there have been many times as an adult where I would be working on something, or otherwise need to be out in the sun, and I would also get sunburned (if I suspect I will be outside for extended periods I usually carry sunblock with me).  I am just trying to avoid making things worse.  I don't want skin cancer if I can do anything about it at this point.

I prefer to stick with durable footwear, usually some form of leather boot.  I do have some  nice wool coats for cold weather, however I don't need them where I currently live (I don't know what I mean by nice...one is a somewhat expensive well known brand here that I won't name, and another is an old WWII era US Army overcoat, both are pretty warm).  Usually if I need something for warmth I go with thin insulating layer, or some form of jacket/sweater/sweatshirt in one of my prefered colors.  One of my favorites is a military sweater that is, again, too warm to wear where I live.  Actually, I have a lot of military or military-style clothing, and my typical go to jacket is a black M65 field jacket, which I will add a liner to if it is cold enough.  I don't usually avoid the rain (maybe if I had a decent umbrella) but I do own a few items that would keep it off me if I cared, or was not likely to be able to get somewhere dry.  I have a few belts, some leather, at least one synthetic one.  Except for the ones that are supposed to look pretty, I try to go for ones that serve other purposes than merely to keep my pants in place or for looks.  Although I prefer to avoid fashionable brands, I wear a "dress shirt" most days.  I go for quality over a name (although there are some brands that have, or had, high quality and the durability I expect).

Soviet parade coats, Tail coats, Frock coats, and suits with vests.. I'm a steampunk and I prefer to dress in "costume" so to speak. When really I'm more comfortable in old dress shoes and dress clothing.

I don't care for brands, I just care about how it fits me. Everything I get is cheap and you will not believe how many thrift store suits I can pick up that look as if they were tailored for me.. I guess my build is something that most thrift store suits just fit.

I got an authentic Derby hat for 5 bucks at a garage sale.. saw a hat in similar condition sell for 80.. I enjoy the old stuff more then new crap you buy today (For the money) I prefer full length shits to tee shirts, and I don't like many things I'm "forced" to wear... I hate how jeans feel on my body and such. Yes they're cheap and bla bla bla.

Me and Fiancee have gotten comments on us "dressing up" and we're like "This is how we normally dress." and people love it.

I like stuff that lasts, and I care little about the brand name, about what it is or how it looks is a major consideration as well as age.

So i have a Jacket from Jack Wolfskin which is super usefull :)

I have no interest in fashion at all, the two criteria I go by when buying clothes are do I like the way the item looks and is it comfortable.

When I shop for clothes, I find everything that fits me, pick out the stuff I wouldn't wear, and buy the rest.
