Emulators Which Ones Run The Best

megadrive and below run fullspeed,
SNES runs most games at 45-60FPS at 260MHz (if your gp2x reaches that high, mine does)
gpSP runs most games at about 40-60 at 260MHZ (but exophase said he could still optimize it even more to reach fullspeed)

NES runs very well.
Atari 2600 very well.
Mame! very well.
PCEngine very well
Gameboy very w...
Atari ST 16 bit, runs very well.
Most 8 bit computers ZX spectrum, C64, BBC etc run very well.

and more.

Notaz emus for Megadrive and NES are IMO the best to start with (easy install and almost 100% compatibility), but you should not end there.

You might check my blog for some examples and ideas :)

I didn't say that. I said a GBA emulator could probably be faster. How much faster? Maybe just 1% faster :B I definitely didn't say "fullspeed" (which is a tricky figure for an emulator.. it'd have to run everything at 60fps with no frameskip, always?)

The only emulator that runs at full speed is the one for Sega Mega Drive, I could be wrong
Try here for emulators

RedBaron is hardly an authority on this topic! There's plenty of other stuff that runs fullspeed.

but last time i said "gpSP won't ever run fullspeed" u said "Bah, I have a good mind to prove you wrong." (i may be misunderstanding the expresion, it means that u think it can run, doesn't it?)

Bah, I have a good mind to prove you wrong.

or you were refering that some games can run fullspeed?
sorry but english is not my native languaje, sometimes i have some troubles understanding some not-so-usual expressions :p

Maybe I shouldn't have phrased it like that. What I meant is that you can't say for certain that "fullspeed" GBA emulation is impossible on GP2X, but I also can't say for certain that it would (probably for other definitions of fullspeed - some games already run fullspeed w/o frameskip)
