Dear Readers,
I hate to post this kind of question on this board (seeing as it is one for the Ubuntu forums), but I have yet to get a response from the Ubuntu forums. I have an eee PC 1000h which is currently running Ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix. A few days ago I purchased an Asus 20" LCD Monitor for it and upon connecting it to my netbook the resolution drops significantly. Normally my netbooks resolution is 1024x600 (16:9) 60 hz, but when it is connected the the moniter, its highest resolution is 600x340 (4:3) 60 hz (When the image is mirrored). When I use this monitor on my windows partition, it works completely fine and when I used to use it with a old build of easy peasy it worked fine also ( Able to display at 1024x600 (16:9) on the monitor. Would anyone have any suggestions at all to fix this problem? I have tried to create an xorg.conf file and mess around with its settings but nothing has worked yet. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
