Except that SRB2 is based on a modified Doom engine with many improvements, and runs slower as a result.Look at Sonic Robo Blast 2: it shows that just about any kind of game can be made, and made well, using the now free Doom engine.
A 20% speedup, you say?? Excellent! The only thing keeping Doom from being a permanent resident of my Smartmedia card is the choppy framerate.
Would it be possible to raise the black level and change the gamma curve without changing the white level?Increasing the brightness more causes the game to look wrong in very bright situtions, i'll have a go though.
