I'm looking to purchase a 4gb SD card...

Either

OCZ 4GB SD Memory 150X High Speed Secure Digital Flash
http://a-power.com/product-3173-313-1

or

Sandisk SDSDBR-4096-A10 4GB SecureDigital
http://a-power.com/product-2464-313-1

Does anyone know if they work? I checked the SD compatibility list and couldn't find these models.

edit: I found the OCZ on the page, but it hasn't been tested on the new 3.0 Firmware. If it works on the previous firmware, will it work on the new versions?

I cant imagine there is any cards that work on older firmware but not newer ones. If it is a problem you can just drop down to 2.1.1 which has all the functionality of 3.0 just with a different menu (Gmenu2X is the best best front end anyway ;) )

i cant see any reason why they wouldnt work with ther firmware 3.0 (your probs better off with 2.1.1 anyway)

There's a couple of hacks released by the people here - Not tried them myself, so don't know how well they work (don't have any SDHC cards either). I'd assume you just patch your kernel with the code, recompile, and replace the binary on the gp2x.

I have an SDHC card, does anybody have any idea when an update will be released so it works?
The open2x project promises to add support for SDHC hards when it is released. This is a community project to make a better version of the GP2X firmware. Open2X project

Im looking forward to what they have to offer.
