Still Fresh
Given that a lot of the games I am trying to get to work on DOSBox end up with very poor audio quality, and I then set the nosound=true in the dosbox.conf, is there any way to disable sound emulation entirely so as to free up more GP2X resources for DOSBox CPU cycles?
nosound=true only sets DOSBox to silent mode, and it is still emulating the sound in the background. I generally set the game setup/install to pc speaker and turn off soundblaster/ad-lib in the hopes that this reduces the demand on the machine. I do think, though, that best performance would come from having games set to pc-speaker in their setups and then disabling all sound emulation entirely. Anyone know how I can do this?
