Wolfenstein 3d, and theres a couple of MAME games that are kind of FPS...On a side note, do you think anyone would port MESS to the pandora, or would it be to big a task?
Anyone know if MAME lightgun games could work on the Pandora?

Nothing like HotD and CarnEvil in your pocket.

They would, probably not with the light gun though lol , you would have to use the D-pad or touch screen..

Not exactly a critical darling, but with decent N64 emulation Doom 64 is a great, underrated FPS published by Midway. It's really a dumbed down, no frills version of Doom, but it's a lot of fun and has a great atmosphere(Midway re-drew a lot of the sprites - some ugly, some fugly, and some decent). I would recommend checking it out for decent single player action.

I would like to see Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, but it is said that this is modified Wolfenstein engine and source is not available. :(

Yeh Doom 64 is good one, not to forget perfect dark and golden eye. @Matija Cizmek, is Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold DOS? if so you could play it via DOSBox.

Thanks for confirming, bad news though I thought I read somewhere before that Blood was open source, but if the code is now missing that will never happen ... All well, Pandora will have plenty other cool games though
ZBlood. Someones put a lot of effort into this.

There is a very faithful (partly superior) total conversion of Doom64 for the PC. It uses the doomsday engine if I recall correctly. Porting the Doomsday engine to Pandora would make this version playable on the pandora.

Did System Shock 2 ever even come out for Linux? Even if it did, I doubt it's open-source. But that would be sweet!

If Pandora gets N64 running, there's always Perfect Dark and Goldeneye. For PSX, the only notable one I can think of is Medal of Honor.

There is an even more faithful port that is available, it's currently unfinished though. It's being done by the same guy who did the TC: http://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/4366...d-now-at-v1-1c/

Shogo did come out for Linux, but also closed source. Hyperion did the port -- for both intel and PPC CPUs... they also did the Amiga port, so they don't seem to mind niche markets... Wonder if they could be talked into doing a Pandora port? May have to write to them.

P.S. I just emailed them, but their site shows little recent activity, so I do not hold out much hope. More info when I have it.

They are currently locked in a ridiculous court case with the current owners of Amiga for the rights to the latest version of the Amiga OS (v4.0 / 4.1). They are also busy coding updates for said OS (which, due to even more ridiculous licensing issues, can only be run on an extremely small number of obsolete hardware).

If they win the case they'll be busy trying to salvage the Amiga. If they loose they'll most probably go into liquidation.

Either way I don't think they'll have much time for porting anything to Pandora!

No, blood is sadly not open-source. It's even worse... they wanted to make it open-source but the code is completely lost.

Thanks for confirming, bad news though

There are also some people working on a reimplementation of the Thief1&2 and SystemShock2 engine, but it is still very unfinished.

I would kill for that... there's literally years of gameplay with all the thief2 FMs... unfortunally game is closed source & the source are "officialy" lost (official as in the publisher version, no idea if it is the truth...)
the reimplementation looks quite good, but progress seem not that fast and they are quite far from a useable game engine... mostly a map viewer yet...
