would it be possible for someone to make a application that runs in the background and enable usb gamepad support to those apps that dont support them currently?
maybe someone could write a gp2x emulator that runs on the gp2x, so the program in question never gets to read the state of the hardware
extra points if you can keep launching it from inside itself.
pokeparadox: won't you run into a problem where you're fighting the other running programs for data about the key presses? like, if a game is linked with sdl, couldn't it just read the buttons' states before you get a chance to alter them? i think this is why squidge says it's unreliable. maybe he can confirm that i'm not talking gibberish h34r:
Yes you have to know when keys are pressed etc, and when status is cleared on the keypresses... There's a whole raft of problems, but I ran out of steam without even getting that far.
