GP2X Can These Be Ported?

There are several OGL libs that are in development, I don't think any of them are considered to be finished or optimal enough for games yet though.

I have been intending to try a simple 3D game using one of the libraries but time hasn't been on my side.

Why don't we have OpenGL yet? It's like the DirectX of the Linux world isn't it?

OpenGL is quite floating point based so it does not work that well on machine without floating point hardware. I "hear" that openGLes (or something like that) is supposed to be better suited for platforms like the GP2X.

Or instead of working on one from scratch, someone could try improving the WIP GL2x.

Here is already running code for other platforms with source so it is not a "from scratch" project but is also not a project for the inexperienced programmer either. I work with a guy (Richard Wright books) who has written a number of books on openGL and develops with it heavily. I was hinting at him to work on an GP2X port of the ES code since I helped him tune the x86 version. So far he is non committal.

As you should know by now, no source code no port.

Better to go somewhere else. People here don't worth my time :(

why do you say that. most of the comments have been on how you could get option two to work not to mention that option one shouldn't be as hard. only mr. ps3 emulator isn't being as helpful and even thats not too bad :p

Check out the wiki on how to get started http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/Main_Page and then go from there. Most tips you can find in the forums, now that you know where to start :)
