The sound from the internal speakers are very poor. Sure, you can use headphones, but it is better to use internal speakers I think.
Is it possible, and feasible, to replace the standard issue speakers with other, better, mini speakers? Would any of the following possibilities work, and also fit, inside the GP2x? I would appreciate your feedback please:
1) Replace both speakers with the single speaker from a Gameboy Advance? (stereo isn't important as you can't get a stereo effect anyway :- cable the wires to share one Gameboy speaker? (the sound from this speaker is far better than the GP2x). I have no idea if the impedence, ohms, etc would work ok.
2) Do the same as the above with a speaker from an original Gameboy (B&W or colour unit).
3) Any other viable speakers, easily available (places like Maplins, or whatever), which would give good quality - like you get from Nintendo machines, or mobile phone quadraphonics, etc?
Ta!
