GP32 Calling All Gp32 Developers

I;ve seen a site somwhere with someone trying to create win CE for the gp32...

Het abandoned it cuz the gp32 has too little RAM.

(that doesnt make sense cuz i have an HP320lx with CE 2 ont and it only has got 2mb of RAM)

Calling all gp32 designers I need to know if I am crazy.... I am attempting to design a small program in visual Basic that will allow me to convert Windows .exe application extentions into .fxe GP32 application

Yep I'm afraid you are crazy, that isn't going to work

The GP32 does not have an x86 processor, the Windows GDI, Windows Control, DirectDraw, or the VB runtime. Or a mouse and keyboard for that matter ;-)
Plus it only has 8 megabytes of RAM.

So no, that isn't going to work I'm afraid...

But you could play around pretty much with the VGA registers, and get a mode called ModeX, actually i think all the tweaked modes were called ModeX of some reason, just as long as it wasn't standard mode 13h
the main feature was that you could get a little higher resolution and that you could address the whole 256k VGA memory.
Yeah, ModeX was fun, you could run crazy modes like 320x400, 320x480 etc.

I think many games used ModeX even if only running in 320x200 or 320x240 res, because the fact that you could address more than 64k enabled you to do on-card double-buffering.

How about another idea.....is it possible to create a cable that will connect from the EXT. port on the gp32 to the aerial or SCART port on a TV so you can play your GP32 games on the big screen using your gp32 as a control pad???
