I have got a tv tuner that works pretty well on pandora.

I tested with vlc and wanted a better alternative. In my laptop i use kaffeine and want something like that. Where I just have a file with channels stored and can easily change.

Is there any option in pandora? Kodi supposedly supports tv tuners but seems it doesn't detects mine.

You can achieve a playlist with vlc.
MPlayer works, but I never tested DVB with a frontend.

The Best Frontend to view DVB TV is Me-tv from Launchpad.

I begged for years to get this wonderfully Piece of Software for us.

Even Ptitseb tried to compile it and it is fully of Depencies.

With This Software you can:
Scan for TV Channels
View Tv,
Record TV,
Schedule Records with EPG
And use the EPG.

Its a wonderfull little Software and i am very
very dissapointed because we had an old working Version which Segfault with the Rescent OS Uptades.

It work with Dvb-c,Dvb-t,Dvb-s,Atsc and other Digital TV Tuners.

I whish i have this Software on the Pandora Zaxxon.
Even @ptitSeb was not able to compile it because that "Beast of Depencies Libraries"

I tried it many Times to Compile but never got it working.

The only Chance is to get it run under Slackware for Pandora which work very well as a seperate OS from SD Card.

Edit:
Kodi will work not bad for this too but the Pandora Version do not have a PVR/TV viewing Backend.

Ah yes, Me-tv, I had forgotten what was the name (I compiled MythTV or something like that, no too long ag, but once compiled I realized it wasn't the right name). I'll try again soon...

In french for the Screenshot, sorry, but it will adapt to the current locale of course... Looks a bit cramped in the Pandora screen. I have no hardware to test with, so it'll probably end up in the Beta thread for proper testing....

I dont want to spoil the fun.
But didn't the DVBT got switched of a month or two ago?
There is the new DVBT2 in europe which needs new hardware.

Although when I said DVBT, I really meant ATSC... as I'm in North America, My tuner supports both.

Things to do: add device to wiki. Test playkist for channels in vlc and try me-tv.

@Brend That depends on the country.
