What batteries can I use when my GP2X finally arrives?

Everyone seems to recommend around 2500MaH Ni-MH

What about 2800-3200MaH Lithium AA Cells? I can get 2 2800's for £4.99!
(claim to last much longer than Ni-MH?)

But can I use lithium batteries safely in the gp2x?

Those should work, you should get pretty good run time.

But since they are not rechargeable, it will get kind of expensive.

Lithiums work fine in the 2x, but there is really no reason to use them over Ni-MHs.
