Hello,
I can be wrong but I've been reading on the other A320 forums that (some of the) used dingo emulators are based on opensource emulators,
so why is Dingoo not releasing the source then?

Or do I just talk silly?

You're not wrong, they're all ports of open source emulators. This practice is nothing new, Chinese PMP manufacturers have been doing this for some time now. They probably don't care because there's not a lot anyone can do about it. GPL has rarely been held up in court at all, so I doubt anyone will try to challenge a company that's in China, where the courts might not even respect the GPL to begin with.

We can, via careful persuasion and communications with Dingoo get that code and open the system up.

Maybe not. The code may belong to Gemei and not Dingoo. Don't forget the 760+ came first and shares the same OS as the A320. Although Dingoo may not care about the law, they may respect Gemei and not share the OS. It wouldn't make any sense for Dingoo to make an open source device and not offer the code unless they made a deal with Gemei.
