Hi all,

I'm very interested in the possiblity of dev-ing Pandora games with Adventure Game Studio.

I would like to find out if anyone here has used or tried AGS for Linux, and homebrewed games sucessfully to play on the GP2X?

Thoughts on AGS's possible(?) use on/for the Pandora?

You need the source code to port any application to the Gp2x/Pandora. Even if they are for PC/Linux.

AGS is a great system, but its author stated several times that he won't publish its source code. As a consequence AGS won't work neither on the Gp2x nor the Pandora.

ok.. thanks. Damn. the two would go great together!

Guess thread should be moved to Cool Ideas and other wishes!

Well, I'm not sure how likely this would be, but after the Pandora has been out for a while and has some good games and units are out there you could ask the creator(s) of AGS to port it.

Oh wait, on the GP2X, sorry, I clicked on the tread from the gp32z front page and didn't realize where I was. Yeah, if you ask you never know what might happen. My guess is that it would be easier to port to the Pandora though as it a little faster/has more standard graphics(opengl).

But I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm just guessing.

Thanx,
Stan

Here's a wish...

That the head of AGS gets a dev unit Pandora. :pandora1:
Get Chris Jones a Pandora fund? Anyone? :D
