i was thinking about buying a gp2x second hand but i dont think id trust myself to perform the d-pad mod.
i am not experienced with soldering on a small, fiddly scale.

is anyone offering a modding service?

I could well be up for it.

When I complete the N64 video log project (see my Wordpress site in my sig), I have may projects to do afterwards, one of which is to put a proper d-pad into my GP2x (using a NES controller d-pad probably) and also installing Li-ion cells at 7.2 amps at 3.6v

I may as well do that project after the N64 project, and do a WIP guide for others to follow.

If my free guide doesn't help or you want me to do the mod(s) for you, I will do, subject to negotiation of course. I am UK too, which is handy.

someday days ago i just mod my gp2x with a gba d-pad. after that we change it for a nes pad. and now i will try the psp slim d-pad. i will keep the better one. i found the psp slim d-pad really great on my psp slim 2000. i played a lot of emus with it.
