Just a simple question - some applications I was interested to port require webkit - has it been ported so far for Pandora, and if yes where can it be found ?

Midori is in the repo:

Since it is webkit based you should be able to find the compiled libraries in the PND.

I downloaded the PND and "unzipped" it with 7zip for Windows and found the libraries inside.

Good luck.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know !

To use Webkit with python, I also need Python bindings I guess?

Webkit has some bugs afaik, if you use the one in the firmware. Thats why some people use the libraries from debian for it.

Yes, webkit should be in the firmware afaik, just the python bindings are missing.

Webkit is in the firmware, really? I checked in the list of all libraries and could not find it, I think.

Or maybe I am mistaken here... Yes, seems like I meant the one from the angstrom repo ;)

I think it was removed when midori was excluded from the image.

I built the webik in that midori. Tbh, it's a bit sheit. Slow, uses lots of memory, and is quite unstable. If you want something stable, grab the webkit from midori 0.3.7 (or was is 0.3.6? I can't remember.)

I didn't build it iirc, but for general purpose use, it should be better. It's probably from debian now that I think about it.
