I've got my Pandora working with my old Bose AE2 first try (circa 2015) but my more modern Bose QC45 (circa 2022) just fails to pair. I also tried a Bose QC Ultra earbuds (circa 2024) and they also fail to pair.

Anybody have any suggestions?

The Bose QC45 uses Bluetooth 5.1 while the Pyra has a Texas Instruments WL1837MOD for Bluetooth supporting Bluetooth 4.1 & BLE.
I think Bluetooth 5.1 should be backwards compatible to 4.x but not sure how that's working on the Pyra.

Well on the Pandora i never got Bluetooth really to work for Headsets, only for Keyboards and Mice s , so i went later to the solution of just using an Bluetooth Transmitter ..

Bluetooth 2.0 while your headset expects 4.x or newer.

A Bluetooth 5 USB stick might work. Not sure if the OS supports this. Those sticks can be really tiny.
That's unfortunate, I was hoping it was just a misconfiguration. Thanks for the Bluetooth dongle suggestion. I happen to already have one for another device so I'll try that.

I think ED had it running and posted some configuration on how to do this, if I remember correctly.
I usually use a wired headphone. On the Pyra Bluetooth connected but CPU would be 100% (which should have been fixed?).

I just followed these steps, it only works for apps that has in app settings to change their audio output device.

Oh i forgott to mention i did not use an Bluetooth USB Dongle back then but an 3,5 Inch Audio Jack Bluetooth Transmitter .. and bevor this i was allways carring an Cable Headphone and an Audio Jack Range Extention Cable as the Audio Jack Port of the Pandora was made incompatible whit the Apple Style Audio Jack Pluggs ..

(also one thing: First Apple did Headphones that where not Compatible whit the Old Style Ports, then this Apple Style Became Standart, and in the End Apple took the Audio Port from its Products ) ..

Update, I tried the Bluetooth 5.0 USB adapter. It doesn't get recognized when plugged in directly, but a USB hub solved that issue. As soon as it was recognized the Bluetooth icon showed up in the taskbar and even let me try to pair but it still failed. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Yeah the only luck I've had was a 2008 vintage Motorola headset, which is obviously running an older protocol... And if I recall it was kind of a pain to route the default audio once it was connected.
