Any Hope Of Using A Eye-fi Sd + Wifi

Now I don't really care too much about internet on the GP2X, also I realize that a lot of you probably read engadget, but I still thought this could be cool.

It's a 1 gig SD card and a 802.11g card in the normal SD card form factor (I know wifi + SD has been done but not in a normal sized SD card).

So is there any hope this could be used for the GP2X?
 
It was discussed some time ago that the Gp2x could support these devices if a certain connection was made on the PCB during production time(unreachable for us now). If that was done was uncertain I think. Besides that it would suck up battery life like nothing, which were the two main factors of putting it away back then.

With the new company working on the firmware and the speed with which it is improving now I wouldn't be surprised if(if the connection exists) it would be supported some day in the future though.
 
whats all this about pcb connection?

i thought the only problem with sdio wifi was the fact that there are no drivers
