This isn't exactly new... My Wife's Acer Aspire One has an Android partition. There have been X86 ports of Android in the past, and it's the same old story. Most of the software is developed for embedded devices with touch screens, accelerators and a myriad of other doo-dads. Additionally, any software that has machine code written specifically for ARM won't run on a PC without some sort of QEMU action going on.
