So I've looked and can't really find a place that will help me price my games for ebay. I can find the price for games complete in box but I have a number of complete GBA boxes, that include the box in mint, the little baggie the game came in, the manual, and all the inserts. I also have the collectors edition box of the Zelda Ocarina of Time without manual or game but everything else, is that worth anything? The games are long gone, traded, given away, or lost to time and eternity, but I know if they had the game they would be worth something. A lot of them are only a few dollars from the game itself and complete in box so I don't really know what to start the bid at or how much to expect to get. Anyone know of where I could ask? I don't frequent any game forums except here so that is why I'm starting here.

You should try the Advanced Search options on ebay for "Sold Listings" they often are a good first point to average out how much you should list them for.

If the collectors edition box is in pristine condition and contains the cardboard insert it should be worth something :)

Another option if you are in the US is to check places like Gamestop and Half Price Books to see what they are selling their used software for.

I dont knew how Gamestop is at your place, but here in Europe, Gamestop is the last place where you should look for games.
They only buy recent games for an fraction of theire worth and sell them for nearly new price.

If you look fo fair prices (buying / selling), go to small, independend shops.

Here it seems that the independent shops and small chains base their prices on eBay sales. They also don't give you much for the ones you sell (at least one wasn't going to give me anything for some that had low/no market demand, and I would rather send it to someone that covers the cost of shipping and actually wants the game than give it to a store, but I prefer trades).

Well this forum has enough gaming knowledgable people that can prob help you out.

That said, all your stuff is worthless, you may as well just give it to me.

I don't know of any shops that will sell game boxes without the actual game. We're talking pretty damned specialist here.

For any valuable games, it may be more cost efficient to buy the actual cart on ebay or somewhere, and then sell that with the box. Generally, any time you spend to making a product more attractive to more people will net you more than you paid for the parts, and I suspect that's true here too.

Thanks for the replies. I listed a few and some look like they will go for a bit more than what https://www.pricecharting.com/ lists them as and the few that aren't still have 3 days to go so I have my fingers crossed.

The ocarina of Time box, with manual, I found it, is at $30 last time I checked, which is good for the condition it is in. The boxed Majora's Mask I need to get rated and 'slabbed' by a place called Video Game Authority. They put it in a plexiglass sealed container with their rating. If I get a 90 out of a possible 100 I can get $750+, without it I could only get $300ish. The rating costs $90 to do but it is worth the investment.

By far the most surprising thing was a sealed gold N64 controller I got free for reserving Majora's Mask, it is at $104 right now. Apparently a official N64 controller in gold is really rare, there were a few given away at conventions or as prizes in tournaments. This one was a Toys 'R' Us exclusive, they had them alone or packed in with a gold N64 system that was also exclusive to Toys 'R' Us. I remember a friend saying I should open it because it was worth nothing but I had 4 perfectly good N64 controllers already. I was actually just saving it for when one of my others wore out.

I found one more GBA game to put in it's box for the next wave. I didn't sell a game unless it had the box. So I have a few more to find, I have to go through a ton of boxes while I'm at my parent's house for Christmas.

I'm getting extra money for a bicycle tour I'm going on, my goal is $2000 and it looks like I might make it with my boxed games and a few unopened Lego sets (holy crap unopened 90s Lego sets can go for a ton!).

I also have a ton of unopened Star Wars toys to get rid of, nothing earlier than 1998, so worthless, but my Mom wants them out of her house. I'll be glad when this is over. . .
