8GB will be supported eventually, it isn't a hardware issue, it is software.
Eventually... like the BoB? :)

Eventually... like I am running Broken Sword 2 from ScummVM on a 8GB SDHC card in the GP2X ;)

Cool, how do you do it and what brand of card works? Aren't they slower than the 4GB cards?

How do I do it? With lots of hacking about with code, not perfect by a long shot :D and still very buggy.

The 8GB cards are a fair bit slower then the 4GB cards it has to be said. SD speed never bothered me personally mind you as I don’t use the GP2X for videos ;).

Heh 8GB, remember when we all had 128MB? ;)
Sure do. Like it was yesterday.

When I bought the FE unit when it first came out, I had a 128. Suffice it to say it did nothing, and I had upgraded to a 2gb within a week ;)

It was a GP32 reference, methinks.

... and I still have 10+ of those big little cards in a box somewhere
