That would be super cool if the was a faster DOS or even win95 emulator for WIZ.. something like Wine maybe. I'm sure this is something that's be discussed plenty. I'm sure its very possible considering some of the amazing stuff that's been done of the Wiz. I would never have thought that...
One more quick question.. I found my old books. One is a Deitel Visual C++ 6.0 from 2003 and the other is OpenGL Superbible from 2000 that covers OpenGL 1.2 I think.. I know that A LOT has come along since then but would these books have any value for reference or would they likely confuse the...
thanks guys! I'll give it GLBASIC a shot. I like how its billed as "BASIC for gamers" since games are what I have in mind :) I've seen some very impressive demos and it seems to be very capable! I wonder if they have any planning to ever get GLBASIC on the Wii? That would be cool as well.
Hey guys, I just wanted to ask you guys a few questions that I'm sure have no simply answers. About 10 years ago I was required to take a QBASIC course in college and I really enjoyed it and did quite well in the class. I haven't really done any form of programming since then other than messing...
I was wondering if there has ever been any discussion of running Half-life 1 on GP2X.. I can't remember if the source code was ever release so a port could be made but what about the linux version? The PC version of HL had a minimum req. of Pentium 133.. so wouldn't it run about as well a...
cool.. I'll give it a try. I think its probably the reader though.. because I dont think 2GB SD even existed when it was made. I went ahead and ordered one of there to be sure.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820301006
ok.. I just got my A-Data 2GB 150x Turbo card and I was all excited until I put it in my card reader and... nothing! the card reader just blinked non stop. I havent tried it in the GP2X because I've heard horror stories about using non formatted SD cards. My reader is a "Kingmax USB 2.0...
what prog do you guys recommend for creating an ISO that's compatible? All my programs create MDF, NRG, BIN/CUE surprisingly NONE of them create .ISO weird..
I thought Bacteria said most emus and homebrew would work without the extra circuitry? If the circuit isnt too expensive then I'd get one. will there be an option for a circuit without the Dpad? If so, then I might go ahead and mod my GP2x with a Gamecube pad and add the circuit later...
as far as I know Stratagus is an open source RTS engine and Wargus is simply a mod that allows Stratagus to use the game content from Warcraft II.. but its not really a port of WC2 or even an interpreter AFAIK but I have the battlenet Edition of WC2 so I can't try it out... still, it would be...
to me it sounds like something that would happen in prison.. but luckily that image doesnt jump into my mind everytime a see that phrase
BTW, why the heck is the XGP going to have 3D GPU but digital controls? IF they want to compete with PSP they should stick to a Digital/Analog...
Is there enough room inside the Gp2x to perhaps have the original stick still in place but ALSO install the logic chip and a 8-way hat switch/dpad? I don't supposed there would be much point sense everybody says no game uses the 16-directions anyways.. It'd just be nice to have both. BTW...
The best thing to do would be to just take a picture of both screens at the same time... then you would know that the exposure on the camera was equal... why wouldn't that work?
perhaps he meant integrating the GP2x screen into the design and make it very small? or perhaps using a very small monitor and scaled down cabinet that would not allow for a PC mobo... plus, the power consumption of the GP2x would be MUCH less than a PC... but seriously, maybe he wanted to...
