Hi there. Long time since I been on here but I decided to pick my GP2X up today and update all the software.. It's running 2.0.0 and since I've been away a while I've got a few questions about upgrading..
is there any need to upgrade to 2.1.1?
Whats the major improvements?

Hi guys. Has anyone managed to get Pilotwings working on a SNES emulator? With mine the menus run pretty quick but the gameplay is terrible. It didn't have the extra chip in the cart or anything did it?
cheers
With you all the way mate! My mates would f'in LOVE portable Pro Ev.. Even if it aint the latest crappy version.
Thanks Zottd. Can't wait to give it a go!
Anyone thought about porting LIRC to the GP2X? Using a USB IR adaptor with the GP2X as a media center would be sweet!! Not sure what you would need to do to mplayer to accept IR commands from a remote though. Just an idea!!
cheers
I just had a go with the latest Freedo.. It works very nicely with Star Fighter but I don't have anymore ISOs to test and I can't be bothered with a 39gig torrent!
cheers
Using the built in USB networking and Samba in 2.0.0 seems fairly reliable to me.. Never had a problem with it and used it for a while before I could 'acquire' a card reader from somewhere...
cheers
Can I ask why?? You would have to cross compile it using the gp2x devkit on your pc. Check the wiki on how to set up a compiler.. Then give it a go I guess!
cheers
I had to read through it a few times but I think I understand it now.. I think it means that if the game is commercial but if it is using GPL software it will not be allowed.. But open source is permitted but you must uphold the rules of the GPL. Any clearer? Anyone else like to contribute...
I'm pretty sure sensi runs on mine. I don't have the latest DrMD so I'm not sure.
Anyway.. Get the Atari ST version of sensible soccer, it is far better. Only one button needed!
I've already got a chipped xbox and i see where you're coming from. I wanted something a bit more compact though! and as mentioned above low power and silent!
Sounds good. I'm thinking about getting one (and another 2X) to make a MAME cabinet. Think I'll wait for the USB support in emulators/games before I spend the cash though!
GTA works on PSX4GP2X (PS1) but I can't get it much better than 9fps..
Not tried it but Street Rod might run on UAE4ALL(Amiga)..
SMW runs ok under the latest modified squidgesnes.
nice one, cheers
Just seen this in the archive:
Virtual Jaguar x2
A gp2x port of the Atari Jaguar emulator - Virtual Jaguar. This is a first release, just to get a feel for things - it's EXCEPTIONALLY slow (around 4FPS)
And I thought people said it would never happen... Still no good games for it!
what does the output from dmesg say when you plug the ipod in? it should recognize the block devices. Also any chance you could post a howto on constructing the cable? cheers
hello mate. Just had a quick blast on the beta.. It's looking good.. However... I've just been to a time trial and finished the first level. It showed me the screen with

and it's hung. Had to reboot the GP2X. Just tried again and its hung in the same...
