Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

Here is a video of FF8 at 290mhz w/ram timings and .bin/.cue files using latest public version. It is really buggy as it will crash if you enable framelimit during the opening fmv. Also, the emulator crashed while walking with quistis down the hallway (and oddly, it crashed my entire computer...

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

Aight Zodttd, here's my first attempt at capturing w/gp2x. This is all I have for now as my pc with my backup .bin files are on a PC that is having it's heatsink RMAed <_< Anyways here they are with FF7 (both have ram timings on and use .bin/.cue files): GP2X clock at 200mhz, no sound...

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

Sounding good Zodttd! My gp2x can run error free at 290mhz (305mhz is max, but it usually crashes after ~10-15 minutes). Also, I got one of those gp2x tv-out cables coming my way, and I already have a capture card, so I'll be able to post some vids of 290mhz vs 200mhz.

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

What always seemed to work for me is if you have some sort of img (or iso, or anything else), mount the image using daemon tools. Now, with this image mounted onto a virtual hard drive, use Alcohol 120 (or something similar) and rip an image of the virtual dvd rom drive to a .bin file. Good...

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

I think he was meaning if you could make the menu for the emulation settings (load game, settings, etc) look like the menu from pocketsnes or squidgesnes. Also, the graphical corruption in FF7 just happened with this build. It wasn't like that in the previous one (previous one was about...

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

Damn, I just tried release 071907 w/FF7 and all I can say is wow... My tests were at 290mhz and ram timings on. Without sound, everything seems near fullspeed and the battles are just a little slower, but much faster than the last release. Oddly, though the fps told by the emulator doesn't...

    Psx4gp2x Public Beta 5 Released

Sorry Zodttd, I can't believe I forgot, my testing was done on your new build, 071907. Kudos to making the cycle change on the fly! Also, on testing I noticed that whenever I load FF7 from the beginning, it pauses on the Squaresoft logo for about 10-13 seconds and is in a state of no input...

    Psx4gp2x Public Beta 5 Released

All testing at 290mhz w/ram timings and with interlace 0. FF7 in .bin/.cue format. Music speeds up with a higher clock cycle. Walking: Fps peaks at cycle 2 Menus: Fps peaks at cycle 2 Fmv: Fps peaks at cycle 2. Constant crackling in music (only during FMVs). Battle winning menu (where it...

    Psx4gp2x Public Beta 5 Released

Just tried FF7 @ 290mhz, advanced ram timings, interlace 0, default clock and psx speed. Very interesting. We now have music in the fmv sequences, and it is very interesting that the music plays way ahead of the video part to match. In fact, increasing the PSX clock cycle higher than the...

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

Just tried out Final Fantasy IX. At 290mhz and ram timings and everything else default (except 0 interlace), I have the intro movie at full speed without sound. Like FF8, enabling sound during the fmvs does nothing except lower the framerate. Once Zidane is able to walk, it is horribly slow...

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

My test @ 290mhz w/ram timings: I ran FF8 (bin/cue). I'll be the first to congradulate you that the FMV sequences are now full speed w/out sound at even 0 interlace! Astonishing. After the first intro, things bog down a lot and stay that way until you leave Quistis' classroom (the part where...

    Psx4gp2x Dynarec Status Update

Yeah, as I said, the health status randomly appears once during a gf sequence (not always at the beginning). This is the only time in the whole battle that I see the health status; I never see the actual battle menu that has the options gf, magic, attack, etc (Good thing I know the game so...

    Psx4gp2x Dynarec Status Update

I've tried it with the latest build at 290+ram timings. Without sound turned on, everything is at near full speed except when you are in battles in that cave place. The battles are about 2/3 full speed. This is with interlace at 0. The game does can even allow psx cpu to go near 20%. Also...

    Psx4gp2x Dynarec Status Update

I just tried FF8 as well. Using the same settings as before: FMVs are about 6-7fps, but seems slightly better than 1/2 full speed. Walking around says about 14-17fps, but feels more like a little less than 2/3 full speed. Also, once you get to the main world map, you have to reset psx clock to...

    Psx4gp2x Dynarec Status Update

Wow Zoddtd. Just downloaded previous release and was going to post my findings when you uploaded this one. This new one is significantly better than the previous one (using FF7). Clocked at 290mhz with enhanced ram timings, psx cpu at 36%, sound off, and interlace count at 0: Intro movie...

    Gpsp (dynarec) Beta Testing

Looks good Zoddtd. I donated a while back for psx4gp2x, but no need to give me the beta. I gave you that donation expecting nothing in return and still expect nothing in return. Just gave you that because I appreciated your efforts on psx4gp2x. ...Wonder if Unai has made any progress...

    Rapidracoon Progress

Yeah, it'd be like Doom. Even though the source code has been released, you are still expected to buy the game to acquire the .wad files. Obviously there would be no obligation for him to give up the models/maps that comprise the game even if he released the source.

Status Of Gpsp / Openttd For The Gp2x

Sounds good Zoddtd, but yeah, it would be nice to hear from Una-i and how his progress is going.
