The gp2x had a serial number that showed the date of manufacture, firmware version, and unique gp2x serial number stored in EEPROM of the I2C bus.
Will there be a serial number for the pandora? and if so, what is the format? that way you know which one you got out of the 4000 in the first...
When a developer releases a game or application, they might name it according to the target platform.
Existing gp2x naming conventions I've seen are:
gp2x<APP> (example: gp2xPaint)
<APP>gp2x (example: uae4allgp2x)
<APP>2x (example: Gmenu2x)

I was wondering why this works
#!/bin/sh
# return to the menu screen
cd /usr/gp2x
exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu
but this doesn't
#!/bin/sh
# return to the menu screen
exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu
is there a reason you have to change to the directory before running exec ?
just got my gp2x and I'm still playing around with it and learning how to use it. i don't know if anybody has posted this info before, but I thought it could be useful:
While inside the music player, you can press "select". This turns off the LCD screen and puts the gp2x into a "button lock"...
