Barring any roadbumps like addressable ranges, won't SD always have larger capacities than microSD because it has more physical area?
The only advantage to microSD is thickness and that's not really an issue here.

1 terabyte cards, not immediately though, they will sell them in levels. There's been recent advances in 'density' technology so they can fit more cells in the same space.
