Gpx2 Or Xgp, Which Will You Buy?

For now, I'll keep my GP32, because the amount of homebrew games & emus is unique. The benefit og the GPX2 over the old GP32 is much too small to convince me now. Looking forward to what commercial content will be offered. The swivle screen of the XGP and it's TV out and screen size are great...

Will It Turn Into Us And Them?

The splitting of the community is actually performed by everyone who says: - "this console will do it and the other one is crap", or - "the XGP won't be open source" From that standpoint it's a contradiction to say: "the community won't split, because all will go with console XXX"...

    Xgp - First Pictures

I confess, probably I would want to get me a PSP because of some certain games. But I never would buy a PSP, that's no option for me. Too many other people will already buy this thing, so why should I sin again (after buying a Playstation, shame on me!). So I'm looking forward to the Gizmondo...

    Xgp - First Pictures

You just don't seem to get the point, do you? There is much more than just emulation, there is no videogame system targeted only at emulators. Ever learned to make compromises, to be tolerant? And no, I won't go and buy me a PSP instead, for several reasons. From the pictures you posted you seem...

Analog stick? That's great! Such thing is really usefull for 3D games. I know some people who play racing games with digital direction pad instead - crazy. Were is the logic in saying an analog stick is bad for emulation?

    Xgp - First Pictures

The design is really unexpected. I'm curious for what the buttons under the screen are used for. The unusual design might be disliked by few people, but Sony has shown with the Playstation that even a much uglier design can get huge customer support. Is the game on the screen really UT...

What's More Attractive To You? Gpx2 Or Xgp?

I'm feed up with people bashing the XGP and screaming for emulation. I'd prefer a good 3D racing game over a whole bunch of emulators whose graphics and sounds are way weaker than the system could do. And having 3D hardware support does in no way imply to be any worse in 2D. And having a...

    Xgp Homepage Open

Why you people start bashing the XGP? It is in my eyes absolutely clear that 3D is a must for new handheld systems, there is no way around it. Though it has been (I say, HAS been) very popular, emulation is NOT what a handheld videogame is all about, as it leaves all new features and...

Maybe the XGP uses the new PowerVR SGX chip? It supports OpenGL ES AND SHADERS -> support for MPEG 4 decoding and enhancing.

Wow, awesome specs! 3D accelerator and TV out, great! And not to forget: more RAM, bigger screen resolution and BETTER SOUND If it's true that it will be possible to dev for it, too............ I can't hear people screaming for emus and state "for what need is a 3D chip for emulation?"...

    Gpx2 Unvailed!!

The black GPX2 looks best. Guys, I just saw screenshots from a couple of Gizmondo games........ and each of them was 3D and each of them looked great, really great. I just can't understand why the GPX2 has no hardware 3D acceleration.

    Gpx2 Unvailed!!

One competitor is out since this week: the Tapwave Zodiac is discontinued! I'm looking forward to upcoming commercial games, I'm really curious what will come out. It's very smart to have SDL already ported from the start on. If there will be really 2 different GP32 successors, then they...

    Gpx2 Unvailed!!

The gizmondo does have a 3D accelerator and is cheaper....... Dual core is shit for emulation, you can't use it that efficiently like other apps. Only few of the emulators will even use the 2nd core. I know what I'm talking about ;) .

    Der Hexenmeister Vom Flammenden Berg

The VNSGuide says, that all files must be 8.3 format. It's an error in the english and german version of warlock when the .vns filenames are too huge. I don't know if that leads to an error on real hardware, I guess not.

There Will Be 2 Consoles Xgp And Gpx2

I'm still working on getting the max out of the SEGA Saturn, because only few games did. Programming Saturn isn't difficult, it's just more difficult to reach the max than it is compared to PeeSX. :D

    Gamepark Named Newgp32 Xgp ?

Just today is the news that ARM tested a multicore processor with 4 CPUs on one chip. Maybe the new GP will have a multicore processor? :D

    Gamepark Named Newgp32 Xgp ?

These theoretical specs sound very good and I think it would be enough reason to buy it for most of the people here. But to increase the user base, it would need FAR BETTER commercial game support. With good 3D games, I would buy it right away, without I'd think twice. With NDS, PSP it's not...
