    Freesci?

I'm a member of the FreeSCI team. There are indeed plans for turning FreeSCI into a ScummVM module. This is a lot of work though, so it will be a while before you'll see this module in a ScummVM release. At the moment, it would be best to port FreeSCI if you want an SCI interpreter on Pandora...

    Dosbox 0.70.1 Released

Well, the typing games are supported pretty well. Support for the newer games like SQ4 is in progress. In any case, it's likely that ScummVM supports several adventure games by LucasArts and other companies that you're interested in. They should work much faster in ScummVM than they do in Dosbox.

    Dosbox 0.70.1 Released

(off-topic)It's probably better to use ScummVM for those games that work with it (this should include most LucasArts titles and the earlier Sierra games). For 2nd generation Sierra games like LSL2 and 3 there is FreeSCI. I ported this to GP2X many months ago, but never released it, as it seems...

Freesci Port In Progress; Feedback Requested

I'm still planning to implement a word list, but the current situation is that I can only release a version with virtual on-screen keyboard. I'm just not sure that anyone actually wants it. ;) I expect the BoB to "just work" with SDL. I'll try and get a hold of a BoB in the near future.

Freesci Port In Progress; Feedback Requested

Hi everyone... unfortunately I haven't gotten around to implementing the word list stuff yet, sorry about that. Is there any demand at all for a version with just the basic virtual on-screen keyboard? I guess the BoB may work too, but I don't have one yet, so I can't test it.

    Play Asia.com

I'm in The Netherlands and I've only had to pay tax once. It happened the one and only time I used UPS for shipping. That's probably not a coincidence. One thing I did notice is that Play Asia put the true value on the box label, and Lik-Sang don't.

Try To Use The Minimal Library But Get - Segmentation Fault

I believe I had the same problem, and it went away when I compiled without "-static". Perhaps the dynamic version of the official SDK simply doesn't work with static linking (although I can't really think of a reason why).

Freesci Port In Progress; Feedback Requested

Thanks for all the replies! Word lists it is. The first release won't support them yet though (implementing that is somewhat involved).

Freesci Port In Progress; Feedback Requested

I've nearly completed porting FreeSCI to GP2X. I'll put up a binary when it's done. This binary will use the same virtual keyboard that's used in the GP32 and Dreamcast ports of FreeSCI. The virtual keyboard is not very convenient and as there are no keyboard devices available yet (I believe)...

    Sierra / Dynamix

I am he. ;) I was planning to port FreeSCI to GP2X too. But due to the problems with the first batch of GP2Xs I decided to wait for the second batch, so I don't have a GP2X yet. However, as I'm already maintaining Dreamcast, GP32 and BeOS ports of FreeSCI, I'm not too keen on adding yet another...

    Mmm... Help Please

The savegame stuff is the same for all the games, and it should work also for Iceman. OK, I'll try it myself at that point. There's a big chance I won't be able to replicate it though. :/ This could be a combination of many factors. It's also possible that this is the cause of a bug in the SMC...

    Mmm... Help Please

It's true that this game is not supported right now. The main reason for that is that the game is not beatable in FreeSCI. However, SMC corruption should never happen. I'll look into this. Hopefully I can reproduce it, that's usually a problem with these kinds of things. It might depend on what...

    Got A Gp32 Over A Psp. Was I Right?

The PSP was only just released over here. Many people were angry that their units had dead pixels and that Sony was unwilling to exchange them unless there were at least 6 dead pixels. After some really bad press about this Sony finally made a statement saying that they will exchange PSPs with...

It contains NAND Flash so you should be able to store files on there, assuming that it's writable from user software ofcourse.
